Recapping Breast Cancer Awareness Month at Dotplot
For us, this month is a time to spotlight the research, funding, and innovation driving breast health forward — and to remind ourselves and each other that small actions can have a big impact on our health. But for many, “awareness” can feel complicated. Pink ribbons and all the added focus may bring up difficult emotions, especially for those who’ve faced breast cancer personally or supported someone who has. We want to acknowledge that side too, because being aware isn’t always easy. Sometimes it means sitting with fear, loss, or uncertainty — and that’s okay. Those feelings are valid, and they’re part of what makes this month so important.

💌 Being #BreastAware With Dotplot
This month, our goal was to make breast health interesting and approachable. We set out to create public question boxes, speak with people on the street, interview our clinical advisors, and bust breast health myths throughout October.
Shoutout to our interns, Lukas and Sarah, for leading the way on this!

✨ KPMG Black Entrepreneurs’ Awards
We’re still buzzing from being named Most Promising Small Business at the KPMG Black Entrepreneurs’ Awards!
And because it wouldn’t be October without a little breast awareness, we followed it up with a self-check tutorial for the audience in true Dotplot spirit!
That’s all for this month. See you in the next one 😉
